Information for Residents
During the event weekend on Saturday 3 and Sunday 4 June a number of safety and traffic management measures will be put in place to limit vehicular access around Paignton Seafront, Preston Seafront and the surrounding residential areas.
These restrictions are clearly detailed on this map and will be in place to ensure emergency service vehicles can still access all areas, and to ensure minimum disruption is caused to residents by visitors to the Airshow.
Residents and local businesses affected by road closures and parking suspensions should now have received a letter and relevant passes.
The temporary road closures, on-street parking restrictions and suspension of one-way systems will be in place during the following designated times:
Saturday 3 June: 11am – 7pm
Sunday 4 June: 11am – 7pm
On the map, the roads shaded with yellow will be advertised as ‘Road Closures;’ however residents and business owners will have access to these areas throughout the duration of the event using one of the two passes enclosed. These can be hung on your rear view mirror to allow you access to the routes marked yellow during the event and will also need to be displayed by Blue Badge holders. Residents can use these passes as they wish, they are not specific to any vehicle.
There will be a number of specific on-street parking suspensions which will be advertised and enforced within these road closures, please ensure you check any on-street notices which may be displayed.
Although the passes will allow access to the streets marked yellow, they will not entitle you to park on-street (including Blue Badge holders) where suspensions are advertised, on the following roads:
Garfield Road, Marine Drive, Morin Road, Queens Road, Roundham Road (partial suspension), Sands Road, Torbay Road, Upper Morin Road.
In addition the one-way systems in operation on the following roads will be suspended during the road closures:
Lower Polsham Road (between Kings Avenue & Esplanade Road), Adelphi Road, Beach Road, Garfield Road, Kernou Road and Queens Road.
Roads shaded red on the map will have strictly no vehicular access between the designated times (including Blue Badge holders). The only exception to this rule will be for emergency service vehicles.
